Study: Internet Use by Teenagers

Overall, just over one child in two surfs the web out of sight. Girls are more likely than boys to access the Internet in an isolated room (60% of them compared to 50% of them). Finally, parents are fully aware of their children’s activities on the Internet. Almost all teenagers use the web for information. School work, videos, music, checking email and playing video games are the other most common activities on the web. Only 61% of teenagers surveyed have access to Facebook.
